General Application Procedures
Reminders for parents before the child’s scheduled assessment: 給家長有關預約孩子評估之前的溫馨提示
1. Orient the child on what to expect on the day of the assessment and prepare them physically. It is advisable for the child to wear comfortable clothes and sleep early before the day of assessment.
請幫您的孩子提前做好評估當天的該有的身體方面的準備。我們建議您的孩子在評估日前一天該穿舒適的衣服並且提早休息。
2. Come at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time. Parents should take note of their child’s schedule to avoid delays in their application.
至少在預定時間提早 5 分鐘到達。家長應注意孩子的評估時間表，以免延誤申請
3. After the tests, the applicant will be scheduled for interviews. Both parents are requested to come.
考試結束後，申請人將安排面試。請求雙方父母參加。
4. Applicants will be rescheduled if:
如果出現以下情況，申請人將被重新預約時間表:
• Class for that day was suspended due to bad weather conditions, declared holidays, or other unforeseen events. New schedule will be given through text or call.
由於惡劣的天氣、宣佈的假日或其他不可預測的情形而導致暫時停課， 那麼新的時間表將通過短信或電話通知家長。
• The child is sick. Assessments will not push through if the child is sick. We advise the parents not to force their child if he/she is not feeling well.
如果孩子生病了，請另行安排評估時間。如果孩子身體不舒服，我們建議父母不要強迫他/她前來接受評估。
5. Results of assessment and procedure of enrollment will be sent to the email address provided in the child’s application form.

- Do you accept foreign nationals?
你們接受外籍生嗎？
Yes, but there are additional requirements that must be submitted. Please check the “additional requirements for foreign nationals” under the list of requirements.

- Do you accept foreign nationals on tourist visa?
你們接受持有旅遊簽證的外籍生嗎？
Yes, but he/she must apply for a study permit visa.

- Do you accept transferees?
你們接受轉學生嗎？
Yes, subject to the result of the child’s assessment.

- Do you accept students who have no formal Chinese education prior to applying to SJCS?
你們學校接受沒有受過正規華文教育的學生嗎？
Yes, as long as they have complete Admission Requirements and have pass their panel interview from the Head teachers and Program Chair. However, applicants who did not pass their assessment with the Chinese Head Teacher will be required to take a modular Chinese course which will focus on appreciating of Chinese culture and basic lessons on Chinese listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
接受，只要申請人按要求提交完整文件並能通過該部門主任和項目負責人面試就行。然而，如果申請人未能通過中文主任面試，為了培養對中華文化的欣賞和對中文聽、說、讀、寫能力的提升，該申請人必修基礎中文課程。
- Do you accept non-Catholics?
你們接受非天主教徒學生嗎？
Yes, as long as the family is willing to respect and abide the religious practices of the school.
接受，只要家人愿意尊重和遵守学校的宗教习俗就行。
- Is there a grade requirement for acceptance to IBDP?
對申請國際文憑大學預科課程有分數要求嗎？
Yes. IBDP applicants must have a final average grade of 87% or higher and no grades lower than 80% in the DepEd prescribed subjects or non-IBDP subjects in their Gr.10 report card. Likewise, the applicant must have a conduct grade of B or higher.
有。對國際文憑大學預科課程申請人，就教育局規定的課程或非國際文憑大學預科課程而言，要求10年級的成績單總平均分務必為87分或更高而成績單中每門學科不能低於80分。同樣，申請人的行為等級必須為 B 或更高。
