Stefan Ong of IBDP to represent SJCS and PH in IChO in Turkey

After bagging a gold award in the Philippine National Chemistry Olympiad (PNCO), Stefan Marcus Ong is now set to represent the country in the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) to be held in Istanbul, Turkey in July. He will be the first Judenite to participate in the most prestigious chemistry competition.

Stefan placed second among the 65 national finalists of PNCO who took the five-hour exam last February 1, 2020 at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. The four highest scoring finalists were chosen to represent the country in this year’s IChO. Mrs. Bernardita Bautista mentored Stefan while Mr. Russel Odi served as the NCR regional coach.
